Perth: Beginning of the Triodion and Blessing for the New Year of Sunday School
On Sunday, 25 February 2024, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea officiated at the Matins and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy for the Sunday of the Publican and the Pharisee and the beginning of the Triodion at the Church of Sts Constantine and Helene in Perth, WA.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace conducted the blessing of the waters (agiasmo) to bless and mark the beginning of the year for the various community and catechetical activities of the Parish including Sunday School, the Monday morning Mother’s Group and the Wednesday evening Orthodox Parea gatherings.
His Grace conveyed to the congregation and especially the Sunday School children gathered in the Church, the paternal blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
