H.H.B visits the Holy Monastery of the Holy Cross
On Thursday, March 1/14, 2024, H.H.B. our Father and Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos visited the Holy Monastery of the Holy Cross, located in West Jerusalem, opposite the Jewish Knesset.
During this visit, His Beatitude assigned the abbotship of the Monastery to the Reverend Archimandrite Christodoulos, ministering to the Patriarchate on secondment from the Holy Metropolis of Patra.
The visit to the Monastery by the representative of the American Consulate, Mr George Noll, responsible for Palestinian affairs, also coincided with this day.
His Beatitude received Mr Noll, and in the presence of Mr Stavros Andreou, conservator of icons and manuscripts, He toured the premises of the Monastery and the treasures of the Library, in which a remarkable conservation work is being carried out, in view of the establishment of a Biblical Research Centre in it.
