Phanar: Memorial Service for the repose of the souls of the Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne who have fallen asleep during the past three years
The Ecumenical Patriarchate announced that on the upcoming Fourth Sunday of Holy and Great Lent, 14 April 2024, a Poly-Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will take place at the venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George, Phanar, in which His Eminence Metropolitan Meliton of Philadelphia will preside, concelebrating with His Eminence Metropolitan Irinaios of Myriophytos and Peristasis and His Eminence Metropolitan Theoliptos of Iconium. During this Poly-Hierarchical Divine Liturgy a Memorial Service for the repose of the souls of the late Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne who have fallen asleep during the last three years will also be held.
This will then be followed by a reception in the Throne Room of the Patriarchate.
It is also announced that during the Great Vespers on the Saturday Evening, 13 April 2024, at 4:00pm, His Eminence Metropolitan Meliton of Philadelphia will officiate.
