H.H.B. Participates in the ending ceremony of the camp period of the Arabic-Speaking Scouts of Jerusalem in Beit Jamal
On the evening of Saturday, July 21/August 3, 2024, His Beatitude, our Father and Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos blessed the closing ceremony of the 43rd Camp “We Will Stay Here” of the Arabic-speaking Orthodox Scouts of Jerusalem in “Beit Jamal”, near Jerusalem, in the presence of the Consul General of Greece in Jerusalem, Mr Dimitrios Angelosopoulos.
The program of the event included the ritual of the end of the Scouts’ camping period, a gathering around the fire, gymnastic demonstrations, dances, speeches and the customary awarding of performance medals to the members of the Scouts distinguished for their scouting activity.
His Beatitude blessed them for their active participation in the Orthodox Church and for cultivating Christian and humanitarian values.
The President of the Scouts, Mr Suleiman Tarazi, thanked His Beatitude for his practical support in their activities.
