A Meeting with Fr. John Behr
On Friday Evening November 16, 2018, Fr. John Behr ( Professor of Patristics at the St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary) met with the seminarians at the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology, in the presence of Fr. Porphyrios Georgi, Dean of the Institute and Archimandrite Maxim Jamal, Director of Students Life. In his talk, Fr. Behr emphasized the Patristic thought, and how to comprehensively read it. He also saw that Christians are walking on the road to Emmaus, and they recognize Christ through the opening of the Holy Scriptures, and through the Breaking of Bread, the Holy Eucharist.
