Patriarch of All Romania Daniel calls on faithful to eschew consumerism during Christmas

The Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, in a sermon, this week referred to the manner in which the faithful can resist consumerism, a phenomenon that is particularly acute during the Christmas holiday.
The Romanian Patriarch called on the faithful to attend Church services and devote more time to prayer, and the study of the Gospels. He called said spending time with those in need gives them joy and comfort.
