Disturbing figures released by UN regarding violence against women; Christian women particularly at risk

Monday, Nov. 25, marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Particularly disturbing figures released by the United Nations show that the murder of women is taking on dimensions of a global scourge.

On average, 137 women around the world are murdered on a daily basis by their partner or another relative.

For Christian women around the world, the figures are even more shocking. In some countries being a Christian woman invites constant threats to their safety, dignity and even life.
