Ecumenical Patriarch’s message on Feast Day of Epiphany
The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, referred to the areas of Cyprus occupied by the Turkish military, speaking on Monday, on the Great Feast of Epiphany, and on the occasion of the ordination of deacon Georgios Christodoulou, a Church of Cyprus cleric and educator.

The Ecumenical Patriarch said “…on the northern corner of the large island (Cyprus), where you will safeguard the land, and, in Christ, the way of life… you will deeply experience the presence of the ‘other’. There have always been different religions and cultures. A major challenge of our era is to emphasize distinctiveness, particularly with respect to the co-existence of the other in a modern, multi-cultural society.”
