Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Germany refers to dire situation of Orthodox faithful in Montenegro, in letter to German FM

The Orthodox Metropolitan of Germany, His Eminence Augustinos, called for an intervention by German Foreign Minister Haiko Maas to resolve a simmering crisis in the small Adriatic country of Montenegro.
In a letter, His Eminence described the dire situation that has emerged for Orthodox Christians in that country, after the Montenegro government drafted and ratified, through Parliament last month, a new law that threatens the Church’s properties and relics with confiscation.

The letter was disclosed by the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral, an eparchy of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
