Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary: Lecture takes place at Monastery of Shiomghvime

On the 13th of February 2020, the teacher of Liturgics Mr. Giorgi Metreveli delivered a lecture assigned according to the syllabus to the third year students at the Monastery of Shiomghvime. The topic of the lecture was the “Shiomghvime Typicon – Its History and Comparison with the Contemporary Divine Ministry”. Particularly interesting in the Shiomghvime Typicon is the service of the litany, which is an inseparable part of the vigil. The students visited the small temples and chapels of the monastery where, according to the typicon, the service of litany must have been delivered.

The lecture was interesting and fruitful and the students expressed their opinion about a more frequent attendance to such lectures.
