Ecumenical Patriarch officiates at Holy Monday service at Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George

The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Holy Monday officiated at the Liturgy of the Pre-sanctified Gifts at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George, followed by the Matins service in the evening for the next day’s liturgy.

Halfway around the world, the Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, officiated at the Holy Monday service at the chapel of St. Paul, at the Archdiocese’s headquarters in New York City. The service was broadcast live over the Internet, and without the presence of worshippers.
