The government of the republic of Cyprus on Wednesday announced that personal worship will be allowed in places of worship as of Monday, with up to 10 worshipers at a time allowed into church, chapels and other faiths’ temples.
The international recognized Cyprus government controls roughly two-third of the east Mediterranean island and is a member of the European Union and the Eurozone, the remaining part of the island is illegally occupied by the Turkish military, which has set up a pseudo-state in the occupied areas.
The presence of worshipers at services and Divine Liturgies will be allowed as of June 1.
