Places of worship in Germany were again reopened this week to worshipers, although partaking in the Holy Communion was still prohibited, as coronavirus-related restrictions are still in force.

An encyclical issued to the faithful by the Metropolitan of Germany, His Eminence Augoustinos, refers to the pain he feels in briefing the flock that until public health restrictions are lifted, Holy Communion will not be offered to worshippers, but only to clerics officiating at the service.
