Metropolitan of Minsk & Zaslavl, Pavel, steps down; Bishop of Borisov appointed as his successor

Members of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on Tuesday accepted the resignation of the Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl, the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, His Eminence Pavel.
According to a spokesman for the Moscow Patriarchate, the Bishop of Borisov and Marinogorsk, His Grace Benjamin, was appointed as the next Metropolitan of the Belarusian Exarchate.
