EU foreign ministers to convene in wake of Turkish provocations

A meeting of the EU’s Foreign Affairs Council convenes in Berlin today and Friday, in the wake of continuing Turkish provocations and aggression in the eastern Mediterranean, and just days after the Islamist Erdogan government converted another iconic Byzantine-era Orthodox cathedral from a museum into a mosque.

The latest insult to Christianity, and especially the Orthodox Church, was the conversion of the medieval Church of the Holy Savior in the Chora district into a mosque.
