Orthodox Diocese of Gulu and Eastern Uganda: Commemoration of the Holy Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker
On Sunday, December 6, 2020, the day of the commemoration of our Holy Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, His Grace Bishop Silvester celebrated Holy Liturgy at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Cathedral in Jinja town. After the service, he joined the group of Youth leaders at the cathedral who were on the closing day of there Online Religious Virtual Event organized in partnership with Orthodox Christian Mission Center – OCMC . The team on ground was joined by multiple virtual connections of youth from other districts the make up the diocese i.e., Gulu, Lira, Kumi etc. together with facilitators from the USA.
His grace commended this catechetical program for our youth and blessed more of these efforts to continuously be organized so that the spiritual life of our Christians remains intact even amidst this Pandemic of COVID19.
