Archbishop of Great Britain Nikitas: Christmas feast remains untouched, true in every way

The Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain, His Eminence Nikitas, this week issued a Christmas encyclical, in which he beseeched the Lord to redeem humanity and save all of creation.
His Eminence pointed out that this year’s Christmas will be a different experience, “…as the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 virus have changed our usual patterns of life.”

At the same time, he reminded that despite the difficulties, the feast remains untouched and true in every way.

“Although this year we may have fewer people at our table when we sit down to celebrate the birth of our Lord, we are assured that wherever two or three are gathered in His name, Christ is there, present, as is the fullness of our hope in Him.”
