The Russian Patriarchal representative to the Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East, Igumen – or Abbot – Arsenios Sokolov, this month led a delegation that delivered wheelchairs and gifts to pupils of the Amal school for disabled children, which is located in Damascus.

The assistance and gifts were collected by the Russian Orthodox Church.

The development marked the second time that such aid has been delivered to the school.

The institution is located in the Bab Msalla district of Damascus, and includes an enrollment of 165 pupils with special needs.
