His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia arrives in Perth
His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia arrived in Perth on Monday, 10 July 2023, for the celebrations of the Feast Day of Saint Paisios the Athonite.
His Eminence was greeted at the Perth Domestic Airport by His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Perth together with the clergy and faithful of the District.
Saint Andrew’s Grammar School Principal, Mr. Craig Monaghan, together with students also welcomed His Eminence by presenting Him with a bouquet of flowers.
During his pastoral visit to the capital city of Western Australia, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios will preside over the Festive Vespers (Tuesday, 11 July, from 7:00pm) on the occasion of the Feast Day of Saint Paisios, at the Church dedicated in his honour located on the grounds of the Holy Monastery of Saint John, Forrestfield, and then he will officiate at the Festive Divine Liturgy (Wednesday, 12 July, from 7:00am) at the same holy church.
