The Feast Day of the Transfiguration of Our Lord in the Metropolis of Derkoi
On Sunday, 6 August 2023, the feast day of the Transfiguration of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was celebrated with ecclesiastical splendour at the Church of Saint Stephanos in Yeşilköy, and was presided over by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi.
After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Great Supplicatory Canon to the Theotokos took place and following this the blessed grapes were handed out to all the faithful by Metropolitan Apostolos, as it is according to the local custom of the City.
