His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America offered the Agiasmos for the beginning of the school year at St. Nicolas Shrine Church in Flushing, NY where there are more than 380 students enrolled.
“The Agiasmos that we do today is for your spiritual, emotional, and intellectual increase. Think of yourselves as precious plantings in a new Garden of Eden, and you need water in order to grow. But there is more than these sanctified waters of blessings. You minds are being watered by knowledge. Your hearts are being watered by love. And your souls are being watered through the Spirit of God, Who comes into our lives through the Sacraments of our Holy Church,” said His Eminence in his remarks to the children. (September 22, 2023)
