Friday marks the 28th anniversary of the repose of the Elder Iakovos Tsalikis of Evia, who was canonized by the Orthodox Church in 2017.
Iakovos was well-known for his great love of Christ and for his fellow man, particularly for those in struggling in lonliness, the persecuted, the ill and those burdened with sadness.
The pages of the Orthodoxia news agency today host a feature on the Saint, with several of his spiritual offspring speaking on camera, including the Metropolitan of Halkida, His Eminence Chrysostomos.
