2nd con’f of Int’l Orthodox Theological Association successfully held in Volos

The second great conference of the International Orthodox Theological Association was successfully held in the central port city of Volos this month, with the emphasis at this year’s assembly being missionary work and the presence of Orthodoxy in the modern world.
The international conference commenced with a con-celebratory Vesper officiated by the resident Metropolitan of Dimitriados, His Eminence Ignatios, at the Holy Cathedral of St. Constantine.

The keynote address was delivered by the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s Metropolitan of Korea, His Eminence Amvrosios, at the Metropolis’ conference center.

Among others, His Eminence touched on the scourge of ethnophyletism, or in other words the conflation between Church and nation, as well as the great need for unity in the Orthodox world.
