2020 marks the 35th anniversary of the operation of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain’s school of Byzantine music.
The Archbishop of Great Britain, His Eminence Nikitas, will preside at a blessing ceremony for the new academic year at the school on Sept. 21.
The school operates at the premises of the St. Barnabas the Apostle community, and within the complex of the cathedral of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Wood Green.
The school offers classes in Byzantine music, practice and theory, general music, liturgics as well as Byzantine and folk choir lessons.
