55-year anniversary of foundation of All Saints Orthodox parish in Sydney suburb of Belmore

The Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, this week attended celebrations for the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the All Saints Orthodox parish and community in the Belmore suburb of Sydney.
Prayers were also read out during the Divine Liturgy for rain to fall in southeast Australia, amid the ongoing destructive wildfires affecting the region.

Makarios called on worshipers to continue their prayers, underlining that “… We Orthodox Christians have no greater weapon but to invoke the name of Jesus Christ.”
