A Greek Night for the youth of the Archdiocesan District of Northcote
On Saturday, 9 September 2023, the Archdiocesan District of Northcote in Victoria organised a Greek Night for the youth, with the aim of celebrating the new ecclesiastical year and the Feast Day of the birth of the Virgin Mary, in a warm family and Christian environment.
Over 150 youth attended the event, while His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Northcote, was also present, and conveyed to the youth the blessings and love of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
During his short greeting, His Grace Bishop Evmenios asked the young people to enjoy the event not only with the food and dancing, but above all with the opportunity to get to know each other, to communicate, to share their concerns, to become good friends, to lift each other’s burden with a nice conversation and a smile. “Because we should not forget that through our relationships with our fellow human beings, we come to know God and communicate with Him”, His Grace pointed out.
