A message of love, hope from an oasis of Orthodoxy in Tanzania
The Metropolitan of Irinopolis, His Eminence Demetrios, sent a message of hope from one of the most challenging Orthodox missions in the world.
His Eminences noted that “..today, as we toiled under the hot African sun for our parish of St. Athanassius, we met up with a group of young Orthodox children, who were preparing the New Year’s table of their family by carrying wood for their mother’s stove. This is love in all its magnitude. A happy New Year to everyone from here, the ‘homeland of the poorest of the poor, but at the same time the most blessed.”
