The nun Mariam, the Abbess, or Hegumeni, of the Holy Monastery of the Panaghia Amirous, in Limassol, Cyprus, reposed in the Lord on Tuesday evening.
The Abbess Mariam served Christ as a nun at the Cypriot monastery for 35 years, while she was enthroned in 2002 by the Metropolitan of Limassol, His Eminence Athanasios.
The sisterhood of the Panaghia Amirous will continue a large-scale renovation of the nunnery begun under the reposed Abbess.
