“From September 10, anniversaries, weddings, funeral ceremonies and other social events will be banned,” Natia Mezvrishvili, the head of the government administration, stated after the meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council.

“Social events, such as anniversaries, weddings, funeral ceremonies and other rituals will be banned due to the epidemiological situation. This restriction was already in force in closed areas, however, from tomorrow it will also apply to open spaces,” Mezvrishvili said.

44 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Georgia in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 1773.
