The NBA’s most valuable player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, was shown distributing food packages this past week to those in need during a food drive at the St. Meletios Church parish, in the central Athens district of Sepolia, the same neighborhood where he grew up.
Antetokounmpo was accompanied by his mother and brothers.
The well-known pro basketball player is a naturalized Greek citizen and a member of the Orthodox Church.
His volunteer activity was posted on social media by another volunteer at the initiative, a kindergarten teacher, as no cameras or reporters were present.
