Christ is risen! On behalf of the hierarchs, clergy, and faithful of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, His Eminence Metropolitan Joseph sends his heartfelt condolences to His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon and the hierarchs, clergy, and faithful of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA), upon the falling asleep in the Lord of His Beatitude Metropolitan Theodosius (Lazor). Metropolitan Theodosius was formerly the OCA’s Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of All-America and Canada. He served as the Primate of the OCA from 1977 until he retired in 2002.
His Beatitude reposed in Canonsburg, PA on Monday, October 19, following an extended illness.
Metropolitan Joseph requests that all members of the Archdiocese offer prayers to Almighty God on behalf of His Beatitude, as well as for the members of his family. May his memory be eternal!
