On Saturday, September 23, 2023 His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America arrived in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Centennial Celebration of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. His Eminence was greeted at the airport by the Rev. Dr. Jonathan Resmini, Dean of the Cathedral, Mr. John Mahairas, President of the Community, Harry Cavalaris, Regional Commander of the Order of St. Andrew, Archon Frank Boardman, and John Couchell, all members of Holy Trinity’s Centennial Committee.
Following his airport arrival, the Archbishop was greeted at his hotel by His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta, His Eminence Metropolitan Dimitrios of Xanthos, Fr. Christian Siskos, Associate Priest at Holy Trinity, and parishioners of the Cathedral including George Andrews, Co-Chair of the Centennial Celebration Committee, Irene Politis, Metropolis of Atlanta Philoptochos President, and Cathy Poulimenos, Holy Trinity Philoptochos Chapter President.
