His Eminence, Archbishop Elpidophoros, Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church of America and Representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, is making his first pastoral trip to the Metropolis of Denver this weekend.
He was welcomed to the Metropolis Center by His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah, Rev. Protopresbyter Lou Christopoulos, Chancellor of the Metropolis as well as Staff and faithful. The Archbishop will stay throughout the weekend and his visit will culminate with the Divine Liturgy in the Metropolitan Cathedral on Sunday.
During this historic visit, the Archbishop will meet with His Eminence, Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver, local clergy and lay leaders. He will be presiding over Great Vespers on Saturday evening and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning at local Greek Orthodox Churches.
All events are being held adhering to strict COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions.

Archbishop Elpidophoros of America is the head of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America which includes over 550 parishes nationwide. He was elevated to his present position in 2019 as the official representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople overseeing all Greek Orthodox parishes in America.
