The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, on Friday paid his first pastoral visit to the St. Peter the Apostle Greek Orthodox Church in the New York City borough of Bronx, where he officiated at the Service for the second Friday of Lent, co-officiated by the parish’s presiding priest, the Very Rev. Fr. Maximos Politis.
In his sermon, His Eminence referred to the tribulation now facing humanity with the Covid-19 pandemic, calling on the faithful to exercise prudence. He also called on them to show courage and love for their fellow man, citing the life and virtues of the Apostle Peter as an example.
