Archbishop Makarios was honoured by 1300 guests from all of Australia at the dinner celebrating his name day. Representing Patriarch Bartholomew was Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea. Other Hierarchs included Singapore, Hong Kong, Madagascar, Chicago, the Church of Antioch. Guests included the Governor of NSW Margaret Beazley, Senator Andrew Bragg and Hon. Anthony Albanese.
