Archbishop of Albania Anastasios receives visiting Greek FM Dendias

The Archbishop of Tirana and All Albania, His Beatitude Anastasios, on Wednesday received visiting Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, with both men cordially discussing various issues, including challenges faced by Orthodoxy in Albania, as well as the significant pastoral and charitable work conducted by the Archdiocese of Albania.
Dendias also met with representatives of the ethnic Greek community in Albania, with the main issues up for discussion being protection of the minority’s property rights and upgrading Greek-language education.

In comments to reporters, the Greek FM said his next visit to the country will include a stop to the coastal town of Himara and the nearby village of Vuno, his ancestral home.

In neighboring Montenegro, physicians treating the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, His Eminence Amphilochios, on Wednesday announced that a second test for Covid-19 on the hierarch came up negative.

An announcement by the Metropolitanate said medical tests on the Primate of the Serbian Church in Montenegro were also good and all vital signs stable. Amphilochios continues to recuperate after being infected with the coronavirus, which caused him to suffer from pneumonia.
