Archbishop of America: Every Greek Orthodox community will have a Greek school

The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, over the weekend announced to participants at an inaugural national conference on Greek education in the United States that every Greek Orthodox community in the country will have a Greek school. The conference was organized and held in Flushing, NY by the Archdiocese of America.

His Eminence stressed how imperative it was to support the operation of such Greek schools, in order to preserve the linguistic, cultural and national identity of the younger generations, beyond their religious teaching and pastoral needs, as he said.
