Archbishop of Athens receives Greece’s top armed forces chiefs

The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, on Thursday received Greece’s top military officers at the Archdiocese in Athens, including the Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, Gen. Konstantinos Floros, along with chiefs of staff of the Hellenic Army, Navy and Air Force.

In a statement, the Archbishop noted that “… It is with particular joy and pride that I receive you here today…”

In response, Gen. Floros thanked the Archbishop for his blessing and replied that Greece’s armed forces are not only ready to fully meet their specific mission, but to also promote a feeling of security within society.
