The Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, issued a message to the faithful in the State of Victoria regarding the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in metropolitan Melbourne and all of Victoria.
In a statement, the Archbishop urged the Orthodox faithful, and all people, not to become disillusioned, not to lose courage and hope in God, and primarily, to continue praying.
He said “…When a person prays, they find themselves in open dialogue with God, and it’s as though heaven descends upon earth.”
His Eminence called on citizens to respect and comply with the recent guidelines issued by the state government, especially those concerning new restrictions related to Church attendance.
