Archbishop of Australia Makarios visits St Euphemia Greek Orthodox in Blackstone
The Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, was greeted this week at the St Euphemia Greek Orthodox College, in the Sydney suburb of Blackstone, by young student Iliana Tzanetakou, who played the Crete lyra and sang traditional Cretan songs for the Archbishop, who hails from the large Aegean island.
Makarios met and talked with pupils at the independent primary and secondary school, after first holding a Trisagion memorial service for the late president of the school college’s board, Panagiotis Theofilou.
