Members of the ethnic Greek community in the Australian city of Cairns, along with local officials and municipality’s mayor, Bob Manning, this week warmly greeted the Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios.
The visit marked the first time that the Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church of Australia visited the far north Queensland city, where he inaugurated the new offices of the St. John the Baptist parish’s community outreach program.
