The Archdiocese of America this week reiterated that it is fully committed to transparency in managing its financial affairs, both towards the faithful and US state and federal authorities, in the wake of the recent arrest of a former top Archdiocese administrator.
A relevant statement on the Archdiocese’s website read, “…Today, we learned that the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and the New York Office of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, announced the arrest of Jerome ‘Jerry’ Dimitriou, former Executive Director of Administration for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOARCH).”
