The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia this week announced that it was planning to restore the Cathedral of the Annunciation of Our Lady and build a new seminary and museum.
The Cathedral has been located in the suburb of Redfern since 1848. It was an Anglican church for its first century, before being re-consecrated to the Orthodox faith in 1970.
