The memory of the Panaghia Pantanassa was celebrated on Thursday with venerable Mount Athos liturgical order at the St. Nicholas church in Porto Lagos, a glebe of the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi in northeast Greece.
The holy services were broadcast live by the Orthodoxia Νews Αgency and the online magazine Pemptousia.
Faithful from around the area arrived at the Vatopedi glebe for the holy services, with the Metropolitan of Xanthi, His Eminence Panteleimon, officiating at an archieratical Divine Liturgy, co-officiated by hieromonks from the Monastery, deacons and priests from the wider Thrace region.
