The Holy Eparchial Synod of the Archdiocese of America convened at the invitation of His Eminence, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, for a regularly scheduled teleconference.
Among others, hierarchs of the Holy Eparchial Synod unanimously approved the appointment of the Very Rev. Athenagoras Ziliaskopoulos, an Archimandrite of the Ecumenical throne, to the post of the Synod’s chief secretary.
The appointment followed a recommendation by Archbishop Elpidophoros.
