Athos Saint Joseph the Hesycast

The documentary “St. Joseph the Hesychast” focuses on the life of one of Mount Athos’ most influential contemporary ascetics.

Joseph the Hesychast was canonized as a Saint by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in 2020.
The dramatized documentary picked up five “Odysseus” awards at the 2020 London Greek Film Festival, including Best Video – with a performance of the song “A Prayer for All”.
The song’s lyrics were written by the Elder Joseph the Hesychast himself, and taken from the book “Elder Joseph – Letters & Poems”.
The song is performed by Hollywood actor and musician Jonathan Jackson, who also portrays the Elder Joseph the Hesychast in the documentary.
