The Let’s Go Greek Festival-Parramatta, which was in its 6th year, was attended by thousands of people.

The festivities ran till around 6 p.m. and the official opening was at approximately 1.30 p.m., by the Greek-Orthodox Archbishop Mr. Makarios. The Federal Minister for Immigration, David Coleman, NSW Minister for Multicultural Affairs Mr John Sidoti attended and confirmed the state government’s contribution to the festival in the amount of $200.000 over the next four years.
