On Monday, May 13, 2024, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America extended a gracious welcome to His Grace Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan, primate of the Eastern Diocese of America of the Armenian Church, at the Archdiocesan Headquarters. Bishop Mesrop conveyed his heartfelt Pascha greetings to Archbishop Elpidophoros.
This encounter was a new opportunity to strengthen the bond of spiritual love shared by the Greek and the Armenian communities. The two hierarchs also discussed the possibility of a joint pilgrimage to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and the Holy See of Etchmiadzin sometime in 2025. Bishop Mesrop was joined during his visit by V. Rev. Archimandrite Simeon Obadashian, Diocesan Vicar of the Armenian Church. Also present were His Grace Bishop Nektarios of Diokleia, GOA National Chancellor and Rev. Protopresbyter Nicolas Kazarian, Ecumenical Officer of the GOA.
