The Bishop of Budmilje and Niksic, His Grace Ioannicus, the temporary vicar – or locum tenens – of the Serbian Orthodox Church’s Metropolis of Montenegro and the Littoral, met this week with the new Prime Minister of the small Adriatic country, Zdravko Krivokapić, as well as the Montenegro’s parliament president, Aleksa Bečić.
The meeting took place at the Cathedral of St. Basil of Ostrog in Niksic.
In Belgrade, the new Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Porfirije, called on the faithful to follow all public health precautions and recommendations amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, so that they can care for themselves and their fellow man.
His Holiness officiated at the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Sava, for the first time since ascending to the throne of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
