Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte met with the new ambassador of Greece

To strengthen the Bulgarian-Greek relations and to continue the good cooperation between the two countries. This became clear after the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte met with the new Ambassador of the Republic of Greece, Mr. Dimitrios Chronopoulos.

They met in Sofia today. The new ambassador thanked for the honor of being received by the Head of the Bulgarian Church, pointing out the fact that he himself wished his first official meeting, after the state protocols meetings, to be with the Bulgarian Patriarch. The meeting raised a number of questions about the good relations between Bulgaria and Greece, both good diplomatic and political relations, as well as church relations.

His Excellency conveyed greetings to Patriarch Neophyte from the head of the Greek Orthodox Church, Archbishop Ieronymos and from the Greek President Procopius Pavlopoulos, and shared that in addition to economic partnerships, our two countries are also connected with our Orthodox faith.

The reception ended with wishes for a successful term of office of the Ambassador and hopes for future partnerships, joint projects and the development of brotherly and friendly relations between the two countries were expressed.
